Give your refreshing ice tea an immunity boost with these Australian native citrus flavours. By using fresh Australian native Lemon Myrtle you will infuse a delicate, lemony flavour that is beyond belief.
INGREDIENTS
800ml water
50g ginger, peeled and grated
50g fresh turmeric, peeled and grated
2 cinnamon sticks
200ml lemon aspen syrup
4 fresh Lemon Myrtle leaves
METHOD
In a large saucepan bring your water to the boil over a high heat. Reduce the heat to a low simmer and place all ingredients into the water, allowing to simmer for a further 15 minutes. Strain into your tea cup.
This immunity boosting tea may be served hot or cold. In summer, we love to make ahead of time and serve cold as a refreshing afternoon tea. Simply drop in a few cubes of ice and serve with a sprig of mint and (if you can find them) a wild rosella flower.
